During testing and commissioning of the fire pump
Recently, we have successfully completed the Installation of a New Containerized Fire Pump for our Client Total (Fiji) Limited. This project was carried out at the Walu Bay Terminal in Suva, Fiji. The Fire pump is used to supply water to the whole terminal during emergencies to control fire before the relevant authorities arrive. The Project scope was to remove the existing Fire Pump, Install the new Containerized Fire Pump, Fabricate and Install associated pipework and connect the pump to TFL’s Switchboard and remote switches.
The whole terminal operations had to be shut down due to this critical task. As there was no back up fire pump in place the relevant authorities were notified to be on a stand by. Our team successfully completed the project in 48 hours on a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) so that the terminal could resume its daily operations from Monday. All the testing and commissioning of the New Containerized Fire Pump was carried out by the pump suppliers with the help of our team. At the end the Client was satisfied with the great effort our team had put to deliver this critical project.
